Non-Custodial by Design
Botwallet uses FROST 2-of-2 threshold signing with distributed key generation (DKG) — your agent holds one key share locally and Botwallet holds the other. Neither party can move funds alone. Only you have access to both key shares through our key export feature.
1 Introduction
Welcome to Botwallet ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Tensyre LLC. Botwallet provides non-custodial wallet infrastructure for AI agents, enabling them to hold, send, receive, and manage digital assets (specifically USDC on the Solana blockchain) with human oversight.
By accessing or using Botwallet, you ("User", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users, including:
- Agent Operators — individuals or entities who register and manage AI agents
- Human Overseers — individuals who set guard rails, fund wallets, and approve transactions
- Merchants — developers and services that accept payments through Botwallet
2 Eligibility
To use Botwallet, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Not be located in, or a resident of, any jurisdiction where the use of cryptocurrency services is prohibited
- Not be subject to economic sanctions or listed on any prohibited party list
Restricted Jurisdictions: The Service is not available to persons or entities in countries subject to comprehensive sanctions, including but not limited to: North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
3 How Botwallet Works
Botwallet is a non-custodial wallet service built on threshold cryptography. Here's what that means:
- FROST 2-of-2 threshold signing — When your agent registers, a wallet is created using FROST (Flexible Round-Optimized Schnorr Threshold) cryptography. Your agent holds Key Share 1 locally; Botwallet holds Key Share 2. Both shares are required to sign any transaction.
- You control your keys — Key Share 1 never leaves your agent's machine. We cannot access, view, or reconstruct it. If you lose Key Share 1, we cannot recover your funds.
- On-chain transactions — All payments and transfers are settled on the Solana blockchain. Transaction records are public and immutable.
- Human guard rails — Wallet owners can set spending limits, per-transaction caps, and merchant allowlists. Transactions exceeding these limits require human approval before Botwallet will co-sign.
4 Fees
Botwallet is free to register and free to use for basic operations. Certain transactions may be subject to fees as described on our Pricing page.
Fees are subject to change with 30 days notice. We will notify you via email and/or platform announcement before any fee changes take effect. The most current fee schedule is always available on the Pricing page.
5 Key Management & Security
Because Botwallet is non-custodial, key management is a shared responsibility:
Your Responsibilities
- Securely store your agent's Key Share 1 and seed phrase
- Keep your API keys confidential
- Back up your key material — if lost, funds become permanently inaccessible
Our Responsibilities
- Securely store Key Share 2 with industry-standard encryption
- Co-sign transactions only when they pass your configured guard rails
- Maintain service availability so you can access your wallet
Important: If you lose your Key Share 1 or seed phrase, we cannot recover your funds. This is inherent to non-custodial architecture — it's what keeps your money safe from everyone, including us.
6 User Responsibilities
As a user of Botwallet, you are responsible for:
- Agent Behavior — You are solely responsible for the actions of your AI agents. Botwallet provides infrastructure; we do not control or monitor what your agents do with their funds.
- Guard Rail Configuration — Setting appropriate spending limits and approval thresholds for your agents. If you set no limits, transactions will proceed without additional checks.
- Legal Compliance — Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including tax obligations, financial regulations, and cryptocurrency laws.
- Accurate Information — Ensuring any information you provide is accurate and up-to-date.
7 Prohibited Uses
You may not use Botwallet for:
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or any illegal activity
- Circumventing economic sanctions or export controls
- Fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
- Operating unlicensed money transmission services
- Market manipulation or wash trading
- Distributing malware, spam, or harmful content
- Attempting to exploit, attack, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure
We reserve the right to suspend co-signing services for accounts engaged in prohibited activities and report such activities to appropriate authorities. In such cases, your Key Share 1 remains yours, and you can export your Key Share 2 — we simply stop participating in new transactions.
8 Risk Disclosures
Using Botwallet involves certain risks. Please review:
Stablecoin Risk
Botwallet uses USDC, a stablecoin designed to maintain $1 parity. While USDC is backed by regulated reserves, no stablecoin carries a guarantee of maintaining its peg under all market conditions.
Key Loss Risk
Because Botwallet is non-custodial, losing your Key Share 1 or seed phrase means permanent loss of access to your funds. There is no recovery mechanism. Back up your keys securely.
Blockchain Risk
The Solana blockchain may experience congestion, outages, or vulnerabilities. Blockchain transactions are irreversible — funds sent to an incorrect address cannot be recovered.
Regulatory Risk
Cryptocurrency regulations vary by jurisdiction and continue to evolve. Changes in law may affect your ability to use the Service. You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to you.
No Government Insurance
Digital assets held through Botwallet are not insured by any government agency (e.g., FDIC, SIPC). There is no government guarantee protecting your funds.
AI Agent Risk
AI agents may behave unpredictably. While guard rails provide safeguards, they rely on your configuration. We recommend starting with conservative limits and adjusting as you gain confidence in your agent's behavior.
By using Botwallet, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these risks.
9 Service Availability
We aim to keep Botwallet available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, network issues, or unforeseen circumstances may cause temporary disruptions. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime in advance.
Note on non-custodial access: Even if Botwallet's co-signing service is temporarily unavailable, your Key Share 1 and your funds on-chain remain yours. You always retain your key material.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Tensyre LLC, its operators, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or funds.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
- We are not liable for losses caused by: blockchain network failures, loss of your Key Share 1 or seed phrase, third-party service outages, compromised API keys, or actions taken by your AI agents.
11 Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Defects will be corrected in any particular timeframe
- The Service is free of vulnerabilities or harmful components
- The results of using the Service will meet your specific requirements
Not financial advice: Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Consult appropriate professionals before making financial decisions.
12 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tensyre LLC, its operators, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable laws
- Actions taken by AI agents under your control
- Any content or data you submit through the Service
13 Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution First: Before pursuing formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at info@botwallet.co and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Binding Arbitration: Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.
Individual Claims Only: You and Tensyre LLC agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.
14 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Tensyre LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You are responsible for compliance with local laws applicable to your use of the Service. If your local laws prohibit or restrict your use of Botwallet, you must not use the Service.
15 Termination
By You: You may stop using Botwallet at any time. Your Key Share 1 and any funds in your on-chain wallet remain yours.
By Us: We may suspend or discontinue co-signing services for your account if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms, engaging in prohibited activities, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice before doing so, except where prohibited by law or where immediate action is necessary to prevent harm.
Upon termination, you retain your Key Share 1 and any on-chain assets. We will provide a minimum of 30 days (unless prohibited by law) for you to make alternative arrangements for your funds.
16 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via:
- Email notification to your registered address
- A notice on the Botwallet dashboard
- An update to the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you may stop using the Service.
17 Privacy
Your use of Botwallet is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. Please review it carefully.
18 General Provisions
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tensyre LLC regarding Botwallet.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right.
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
